Welsh Tourist Board Self-catering holiday accomodation for 4 people with a cot available if required. Situated in a peaceful rural setting on the edge of the Welsh Marches, midway between the market towns of Hay-on-Wye and Brecon. The accomodation is part of a smallholding with sheep, hens, geese and a horse, all providing interest to our younger visitors. This is an ideal base for relaxing in or exploring the glorious Welsh countryside; be it in the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains, our many tourist attractions or local walks off the beaten track. |

The accomodation comprises 1 double gallery room (with cot) and 1 twin room, kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge etc. Livingroom and diningroom area combined. Shower room and toilet, T.V, games and books etc. The farmhouse has a large and pretty garden with a stream running through it, and there is garden furniture and a barbecue which you can make use of. There is also an undercover boot and drying room. |

The letting is a sympathetic and rustic refurbishment of the old servants' quarters attached to a notable eighteenth century farmhouse (described in the Brycheiniog and the National Trust Book of the Farm), overlooking the cobbled farm yard, garden and fields, with a view to the Black Mountains in the Distance. |
The letting also includes, by arrangement, a starter pack on arrival. Also (for weekly lets only) the offer of transport to and from, a local hostelry on the evening of your choice. With good road access via the A470 and just an hour from the Severn Bridges access to the accomodation is very easy. Regrettably, due to steps and stairs the accomodation is unsuitable for the physically disabled. |

Outdoor pursuits abound locally:-

The world famous book town of Hay-on-Wye is only 10 miles away where an annual Literary festival is held, and in Brecon the annual Jazz Festival is probably one of the largest events of it's kind in Europe. Booking details
